Lauren and I have been cooking a lot lately. We’re constantly saying to ourselves, “I think we could make that ourselves”.
The latest (successful) experiment was our very own homemade apple cider. It’s rich, crisp, tangy, and is helping usher in the Fall and Winter seasons. It’s still pretty hot in Texas (80+ some days) so we’ve even had our cider iced, which was extremely refreshing.
Hot or iced, this homemade apple cider recipe will bring you a significant amount of pleasure for very little effort.
If you’re using a crockpot, this recipe is almost entirely hands-off after you chop up the apples and orange. If you’re using a stockpot on the stove, you’ll just want to stir the cider every now and then to make sure nothing’s burning.
